Bubbles coming out of output

Hello...

Just bought a used Rena Filstar XP. It ran great for a couple of days and now it will make a humming noise and then shoot out bubbles every few minutes. I did not have a manual and am not sure if it was put together right after looking at your directions. We filled the cannister with water up to the top tray before running and did not have the intake full of water, we had some water in it, but it was not completely full before running it. Do you think if I disassembled and started over this will help with the problem or do you think something is wrong?

A: You have a priming and/or flow problem. The bubbles are caused by water mixing with air as it is being pumped into the aquarium. You can find lots of information on this issue here:
