canister clips/hinges do not snap in place

I just purchased a used XP3. The hinges do not snap in place on the corners when the motor casing is installed on top. They are very loose and not tight at all. What parts need to be replaced?

A: If you just purchased this item in a sealed box the clamps would be attached. If they were not attached then the canister hinges may be broken. You should return the item as defective. Please contact the manufacturer directly. In the US that is Mars Fishcare (formerly Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) This is the information in the product manual or literature that came with your product. If you don't have that information here it is again:

Thank you for your quick reply. As I stated, the product is used, not new in sealed box. The clamps are attached, but when "locked" they do not form a tight fit.

A: I think you are missing some parts. You might try visiting the manufacturer's web site MarsFishcare.com to see what might be missing. If I had to guess I would say canister Oring and/or basket cover.
