EXACTLY how much media can one XP2 hold?

by Royce
(Honolulu, HI)

I know it has 2 baskets and each one are split into 2 i gather. (if that isnt correct please, by all means correct me). So in my mind i can do a mixture of like, foam at the bottom most, then activated carbon on the top half of the 1st basket, and then like zorb in the lower 2nd basket and some other one in the last. Please tell me if that 'logic' of the baskets are correct! :) thanks

A: What comes from the factory is the best solution for most tanks. This includes 2 each of 20ppi filters,30 ppi filters in bottom basket. BioChem Stars in bottom of top basket, grid, then BioChem Zorb in top half of top basket with 1 white filter pad on top of  that. If you have particular water quality problems you are trying to correct then you can replace the BioChem Zorb and/or BioChem Stars. This topic is also covered in our FAQ section and in the Filstar section of Planet Rena.
