filter is not moving water

by john
(portland or)

the filter appears to have primed correctly (water came down the intake hose and then back up the return hose) the impeller is spinning and yet it is not moving water. I have gone though the faqs and have not found an answer. any suggestions would be great.

A: If water is in the outlet tube and the inlet tube but no water is coming out the outlet tube while the motor is running you probably have an airlock or something in the filter baskets is not allowing the water to move up into rotor/impeller area. This is very unusual if eveything is set up correclty. I would contact the manufacturer directly this at 800-847-0659 or email docwellfish@aquariumpharm.com.
