Gurgling noise in filter

Location of water leak on tube A

Location of water leak on tube A

Hello,

I just purchased a new filter, 2XP, and it is functioning but there is an annoying gurgling noise. I followed the manual's instructions and, although it was fairly silent on the 1st day, sounds of air inside the filter started by next morning. I see that the water level in the fller canister is about 2 inches from the plastic top. Should the canister be completly devoid of air?

Would it be a leak somewhere responsible for this? The only place where I can see a leak is on the tube "A", right before the elbow starts going down to the B tube. The water leaks out at the rate of 1 drop per second. Since it's over the water inside the tank, it is not serious unless it is also the culprit in allowing air into the system.

Can you help me? The noise is not acceptable to me.

Thank you,

Suzanne Smith

A: You should contact the dealer where you purchased the item or the manufacutrer, Mars Fishcare about your issue. Planet Rena is an authorized distributor of replacment parts but since your filter is so new any issues with air leaks should be brought to the attention of your dealer or the manufacturer.
