How do I know if my rena filter is working?

I just purchased a rena filter and I don't know how to tell if it is working. I think it is not. A: The best place to get answers to this type question is from the company/dealer where you purchased the item since they are more familiar with your setup. As an alternative you can contact the manufacturer. In the US that is Mars Fishcare (formerly Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, Inc.)
