how long does it take to clear up a tank

my tank is cloudy and i just changed the filter and wanted to know how long it takes to typically clear up the tank... 200 gallon tank...
A: Every tank is different and there are many causes for a cloudy tank. If it is just particles from tank maintainence maybe just a day or so if the cloudines is a bacterial or algae bloom then it can take as much as 6 weeks.
