How often should I clean 2x filter

36gal bowfront with (hob) skimmer 25% water change every 3 weeks. Bout 7 small fish 50pounds live rock and some soft coral . Thank u
A: The manufactuer, Mars Fishcare has a lot of helpful information on this subject so I urge you to look there also. The manufacture recommends about once a month for general cleaning. If you are taking regular measurements of water quality this will also indicate when cleaning is needed.
