How to use a RENA 325?

by Evie
(Georgia)

A Rena 325 came with a tank we bought second-hand. I rinsed the foam filter out. Do I just put the filter down in the bottom of the tank? I can hear a little motor running when I plug it in. I want to make sure that I am not missing something. I don't see any charcoal or anything, just the foam filter.
A: We haven't made that filter in about 15 years. But we still sell the filter foams for it. If you don't have instructions or a parts diagragm I won't be able to do much for you. Basically, you should have three parts inside the outer cover, a filter/strainer, foam and then a cover over the foam. If you don't have that the filter won't work.
