I have a 36 Gallon Aquarium with a RENA FILSTAR XP1. Is it compatible with aquatic turtles?

Would my filter be compatible with an aquatic turtle? If not, Is there any way to make it compatible ?
A: It is compatible but you may be somewhat limited in the amount and types of filter media you may want.
