Leaking

by Heather Thomas
(Olympia, WA)

Filter is leaking. I tipped the unit each way to see if the seal wasn't set and what I found was when the unit is tipped backward a bit (fully hooked up or not) water pours out the whole where the electrical cord comes out. I've made sure the unit is close enough to the water, the hoses are not stretched, and the seals look fine. I've read the other items about leaking and none seem to match. Help!

Ideas?

Thanks

A: Leaking out the hole where the cord goes generally indicates a leak around the quick disconnect. This is covered in the Repairs area of the Filstar FAQ section. Please scan down the page at least two Q&A's are already posted on this issue.
