My inpellor "came apart." How can I assemble it back myself?

by vince
(Anaheim, CA USA)

My filter just stopped working and making noises. I had it for about 7 months. I opened the impellor area and noticed the impellor is loose. I pulled it apart but I can not seem to put it back in. I looks simple enough with just a washer but it just won't fit.

A: Rotor/Impellers can't be put back together once separated. The impeller blades are press fit on the shaft of the magnet. This is a one way operation. This is generally caused by heat build up but you might try contacting the manufacturer about this.
