My rena xp 3 filter has stopped working

Hello,
My xp3 filter has stopped taking in water. I checked everywhere for blockages, but cannot find any reason for it to stop sucking in the aquarium water. Is there an easy fix, or do I need to replace my filtration system? I purchased it in 2007.

thanks,
Michelle

A: The first thing you need to do is read over the troubleshooting information at the manufacturer's web site. I also recommend viewing their video. If you still can't figure out what is wrong then contact us again. My guess is that the filter is not priming or is being restarted incorrectly and you have air leaking into the system on the intake side.
