Poor intake flow

by Nick Hayes
(Illinois)

Hello, I just got a brand new Rena filter and I set everything up just the way the directions said. As I was monitoring the start up of the filter everything seemed fine. I have a good out take flow from my spray bar, but when I put my fingers close to the intake tube I hardly feel an intake flow. Is this normal? Because I was expecting a stronger intake suction.

A: The intake is not like a vacuum cleaner so you may be expecting too much. You might need to contact the manufacturer, Mars Fishcare, about this. This is the info that came with your filter. You can reach them at 800-847-0659. Our company just sells parts.
