Rena Filstar XP discharges particles when restarted

After water changes when I have cleaned the canister, reattached the hoses, and siphoned the water back to the canister. I turn on the power and. A large chunk of what
looks like old food and other sediments come out the outtake tube. Why is this happening?
A: We have had reports of "stuff" settling in the outlet tubes. This is dislodged when the filter restarts. It ranges from hard water mineral deposits, salt deposits, algae and I suppose it could also be very fine organic particles. You might want to think about using a bottle brush to clean out the actual parts in the discharge assembly.
