rena filstar xp

by greg turner
(stafford staffs)

cleaned filter.switched back on & it started making an intermitant grating noise (lollipop in spokes when you were a kid...).Then noticed filter was not pumping the water.Presume I need to replace the whole filstarxp unit?
Approx 2yrs old.

A: This actually sounds more like bad flow or priming on the restart. It is unusual to need any replacement parts in the first two years. You might try reading on the subject first and then if you still can't figure out the cause contact us again. If your filter is less than 2yrs old it is still under warranty so you could contact the manufacturer also.
