Rena Filstar XP2 air leak

I recently purchased a Rena Filstar XP2 off craigslist. It does filter and it does filter well.I have had it setup for about a week. After a few days,I notice a rushing sound from the intake, and the outtake has tiny air bubbles.Any clue whats causing this?I do notice when it is tipped a little the back leaks a little.Maybe air is coming from there?I do like the power and when its not purging air it is super quiet. But I really need it to work right and figured I would ask the experts for some advice!

Thank in advance,

A: Air leaks in a second-hand filter can be difficult to diagnose. There have been a number of Q&A's already posted on this subject. The links are posted below. Second, I would review the video at Mars Fishcare regarding the proper setup and restart of the filter which might tell why the filter is not priming properly.
