Rena XP2 has very low output slow flow

by michelle
(fort wayne, IN USA)

After a year of use my filstar XP2 has tremendously and noticeably slower water movement then when new...it actually just trickles. I have frequently cleaned and replaced all filter media. New sponge filters in place....still very low flow....what next?

A: Slow flow usually indicates that the unit is not pushing enough water up into the rotor/impeller area. There is a lot information about this in the performance category. Please read through this first and if you still can't fix it please add a comment to the discussion and somone will usually offer additional advice.
