Rena XP3 dishcharges white sediment after cleaning.

by Dom
(South Mills, NC)

Hi, i've owned Rena's for years and presently have 4 XP3's set up and running on various tanks. My question revolves around a white substance that shoots out of the outlet tube after every cleaning.

I follow every step in your video and when it's put back online or plugged in, the substance shoots out of the nozzle. I've been avoiding this by putting nets at the end of the hoses thus catching the majority of it. But some still gets out.

The nets are the only thing ive tried. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

A: Over time some small particles of calcium or other minerals can cling to the inside of the inlet/outlet tubes. You can clean inside this to remove most of the lose debris with a bottle brush. Or at some time you can just replace the accessories. Your temporary solution is the one we use here to trap these small particles also. You can also use something like Accuclear to clear the tank and cause these particles to cling together so they can be trapped by the filter or vacuumed from the tank.
