Rena xp3 will not pump water

by Andy Davis
(Tabul SA)

I had a power surge and the filter will no longer pump water. It rattled for a while now it wont pump. I turned it on without water for a second to see iff it would rotate and it rattles. When i refilled it it still wont pump. Any help please the filter is 6 months old. Could i have broken the magnt/rotor.

A: It is possible the rotor/impeller has be demagnetized. You need to troubleshoot the issue. There have been a number of Q&A's already posted on this subject. Here are some links to those sections:

You will need to scroll down the page to find them but there are at least 4 or 5 questions and troubleshooting guides on this subject on either page. We also have some excellent DIY videos on the subject which I recommend.
