Replacement

I have a Rena Filstar XP2 or XP3. I do not like the blue/grey color of the inlet strainer or pipe extension. Can I replace it with the "Smartfilter Extension Kit" by Aquarium Pharm. which comes in black? If not, can you suggest any other alternatives to replace these parts that come in the color black or clear?
