Rna xp2 issues

Just bought brand new rena filster xp2. Has been running for a week now. But it has this somewhat loud humming noise. I heard its supposed to be quiet. Just how quiet is quiet? Should it be un- noticable? Is mine a bad one? You can hear it wen sittong next to it or in a quiet room. Please tell me if this is normal sound. Also i dont think it sucks ver well. Small particles do go in but at times i even see some just float by wirhout being sucked it. What is the policy for returning this back to my lfs. Can i return this back if im not entirely happy wven though its been used now?
