What do I need to do to replace XP1 filter media?

I bought a used tank setup and the filter media needs to be replaced. I want to do it right, but I also have fish in the tank so I need to do it somewhat quickly. That being said, I don't want to take it apart and THEN go to the store. I'd rather have everything I'm going to need on hand so that I am ready to go and can be done ASAP for the benefit of the fish.

So, my questions are:
What media do I need?
What is the best way to get it (LFS, ebay, online, etc..)?
Are there options or is it a standard part?
Anything else I should know before I take on this project?

Missing Plug for the Motor of Rena XP3. Do you sell it?

Hi Rena XP3 Makers: I love your products, preferably the Rena Filstar XP3 because it is super efficient and very easy to maintain. I love it so much that I bought a 3rd unit just this Tuesday (Apr.25, 2012). However, when I got home and opened the box I noticed that "the BLACK PLUG" on the lower side part of the motor assembly is missing. Since then I could not find any supplier that sells this spare part.

Kindly let me know if you can sell me this product and mail it to my home address at 5245 Fairford Crescent, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada L5V 2H7.

Or, Can I just use any material that can be plugged into the whole to make the Rena XP3 Motor work?

Any comment from you will greatly be appreciated.

One of everything? I've never used a canister filter before (used to bio-wheel setups) so this is a new venture/learning experience.
