Why does my near new 2 month old xp4 keep losing pressure?

The only time it runs well, is about 2 days after I clean it. It has awesome flow and them becomes a trickle. So I am forced to clean it almost 3 times a week, to keep my fish alive. I know as they get older you will have to replace parts, but this is my second one. I originally had an XP3 that done the same thing and thought that it may have been under powered for my tank, so I bought the XP4. It does not sound like it is cavitating and what water is being pumped is not full of bubbles. (I am using the jet nozzle)
The lines have been cut to an appropriate length, to reach the intakes without any kinks also. When I take it apart to clean it, is not messy at all, and has no slime build up, or the like. And is lubed when I put it back together ( the rings )
I can?t really see what I could be doing wrong as it seem to really only fit together one way, and is also stated in the manual how to assemble it.
I know that there is probably things to see in the FAQ?s but as I looked at them, they did not really seem to apply, and the only that did apply only had a link to things that really did to apply anyway. I can?t see it being an impeller or rings as the age if the pump is, well new.
So with this I will ask nicely to not direct me to old links that will not really help me, and possibly a search engine to maybe find applicable FAQ?s easier
A: I don't know how old the unit is but if is under warranty you should contact the manufacturer, Mars Fishcare, directly. Otherwise, you will have to do some experimenting to figure out what is preventing flow through the baskets or if there is something else going wrong.
I would remove the media from the baskets and install them back in the unit. Run the filter for a few days and if the flow remains strong gradually add the media back until you get the slow flow problem again. At some point you will have the problem again if the media is not loaded into the unit properly or if you have customized the media and the configuration is causing a problem.
Hopefully, once this is posted others may have some ideas for you also.
