Hello, I have a rena xp3 canister filter. I am buying more media online, and im wondering what my rena needs. I have a 75 gallon saltwater aquarium. The bottom tray of the rena is 2x 20, and 2x 30 filter pads. Next tray is my bio balls, I put additonal filter floss on top on the bio balls. Next tray I have, I beivele carbon? white bag, that turned my sink black... (API) has a wide selection of media for rena filters and different needs. Im look for the best for my filter.
A: There really is no "best" setup. Every tank is different. The setup from the factory works for about 90% of all aquarium owners. If you have a particular water quality issue that you discover through testing and observation then purchase the media that deals with that issue. The stacking order is shown in your manual or by reviewing the setup video at the Mars Fishcare web site.
