xp3 runs for a couple of hours and then quits?

my xp3 is about 2 and a half years old and it was working fine till about a week ago. now i prime it in the morning befoe i go to work and it starts up fine. it is ussally running when i get home but some time trhought the day it quits. i have cleaned it and checked all the tubes. it just works for awhile then quits. it works for about 6 to 10 hrs and then stops pummping water. the motor is still running. ishut it off for awhile then prime it. then it all starts over. any help would be usefull.

A: Your filter is losing prime (siphoning). The fact that you have to prime it every day is the tip off. You should never have to prime the filter unless you have completely torn down the filter for cleaning including the flexible tubes.
